Leatrice C. Milhans

Leatrice C. Milhans, age 80 of Gillett, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Evergreen Health Services in Shawano.  Leatrice was born on March 6, 1946, in Oconto Falls, to the late Laurence and Lucille (Dunk) Courchaine.  On February 5, 1966, she married Robert “Bob” Milhans and they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.  Together they raised two children: Lisa (Tom) Styczynski and Ronald (Sarah) Milhans.  Leatrice was known for her love of flower gardening, her needle work – especially making pillowcases for those she loved, and crossword puzzles.
She spent her early career working in manufacturing and later joined her husband, Bob, in their business “We Be Carpet” where she worked until her retirement.  After retirement, Leatrice and Bob loved traveling west to do sightseeing and particularly going to Montana and Wyoming.
Leatrice is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Lisa (Tom); son, Ronald (Sarah); grandchildren, Deven (Wendy) Styczynski, Andrew (Mariah) Milhans, and Cody Milhans; great-granddaughter, Charlissa Styczynski; brother, Bernard Courchaine; brother-in-law, Jim (Ruth) Milhans; special friend, Don Fullerton.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Clayton Milhans; in-laws, Bill and Luella Milhans; siblings, Laurence (Babe) Courchaine, Rosemary Funk, Francis Courchaine, Kenneth Courchaine, Linda Busch, Lennice Swearingen, Cletus Courchaine, Anita Deering, Claris Collins, Johnny Lee Courchaine, and Linda Lou Courchaine.
A private family gathering will be held per Leatrice’s wishes.  Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.
