The mission of the Elizabeth Street Business Complex is “to further the development and maintenance of a quality workforce through the integration of employment education and economic development services for employers, job seekers and workers.”
Board member Dennis Heling commented, “I believe in our mission, and I want our legacy to be that we provided a quality facility for our tenants, whether for-profit business or non-profit organizations. He continued, “a quality facility is important in that it allows businesses to grow, network and interact without the worries of infrastructure such as meeting rooms, technology, parking and building access.”
The Elizabeth Street Business Complex is pleased to provide rental space (storage or office)  to Family Services, Forward Service Corp., GT Independence, Great Lakes Inter-Tribal, Literacy Council, CORE Treatment, NAMI, Shawano Quilters, United Way, Genex, Little Rapids, Twig’s, Voluminance, Wallace Flooring and Running Inc. Cab Company.
Board Member Rick Stadelman remarked, “As one of the newest members of the board of directors, I am impressed by the diversity of the tenants at the Complex. From an international ag business, to a national paper maker, to a local bottling company and a cab company, occupying space in the Complex with numerous non-profit service organizations. The diversity of these businesses points out the importance of the Elizabeth Street Business Complex to the Shawano area.”
Members of the board of directors for the Complex are: Ron Stuber, President; Lorna Marquardt, Vice President; Aaron Wallrich, Treasurer; Robyn Shingler, Secretary; Dennis Heling, Rick Stadelman, Deb Noffke, Bev Miller and Melissa Schuler. The board is excited to invite local civic organizations and nonprofits to apply for donation funding. The board is proud to support programs and projects that strengthen our local economy and serve our community’s employers, job seekers, families and residents.
So far in 2026, we have made financial donations to Trees for Tomorrow, Courage Foundation, United Way, Salvation Army, Leadership Youth Program, NAMI, The F.R.E.S.H. Project, National Night Out, Boys and Girls Club, Red River Riders and Bonduel Community Food Pantry.
In addition we have provided numerous in-kind contributions to include Toys for Tots, Shawano School District, Shawano Area Women’s Club, a Resource Fair, SunDrop Dayz parking, and Shawano Area Quilters, to name a few.
Board member Robyn Shingler commented, “I first became involved with the Elizabeth Street Business Complex Board of Directors while working at the Shawano County Job Center. Around that same time, I participated in Leadership Shawano County, where our class explored ways to strengthen the nonprofit community by creating a shared space where organizations could collaborate, share resources, and better serve the people of Shawano County. Watching that vision become a reality has been incredibly rewarding.”
Shingler added, “I’m proud to represent the Shawano School District on the board because the mission of the Complex closely aligns with my work in Community Education and Outreach. Both are built on the belief that strong partnerships create stronger communities. She continued, “The Elizabeth Street Business Complex has grown beyond providing affordable office and storage space into a collaborative hub where nonprofit organizations expand their impact.”
Groups who lease space in the Complex often remark how nice it is to be able to communicate with others who share similar visions. They also comment how well kept the facility is thanks to general contractor Felts Construction (Chuck Felts.)  The parking lot provides plenty of parking for both employees and visitors.
Currently there are only four offices available to lease. If interested, contact Ron Stuber or Melissa Schuler at 715-526-4763.  For those organizations who would like to apply for a donation, feel free to submit a letter of request via email to shawanojobctr@gmail.com or send to Shawano County Job Center, Inc., 607 E.
