In 1995, Tammy Brzeczkowski quit her full-time job at Northeast Telephone to work on building a graphic design business. To supplement her income at the time, she also waitressed and drove bus for handicapped people.
Today, Tammy and her husband Bruce, along with Tammy’s parents, Barbara and Ronald Maroszek, own and operate Dynamic Designs, a Pulaski business that has evolved into offering decorated apparel, promotional products and website design. Graphic design, according to Tammy, will always be the backbone that carries all three of those services.
“Not long after I began the business, the owner of Zernicke Bus, whom I drove bus for, approached me and asked if we could put the Zernicke Bus logo on a jacket,” Tammy said. “I believe he wanted to give his bus drivers a gift for the holidays. I said ‘yes’ without knowing for sure how we were going to do this. At the time, my mom was working part-time for a sewing and embroidery shop in Green Bay. She figured it out and completed the first embroidery job while Bruce and I were on a cruise.”
Shortly after that, her mom, an avid seamstress and quilt maker, started working with Tammy in the basement of her Pulaski home all while dairy farming full-time with Tammy’s dad.
“Then, Mom and I took a trip visiting small embroidery shops in Wisconsin looking at machines,” Tammy said. “We purchased our first one, and the embroidery division for Dynamic Designs was born.”
They then got into screen printing when someone asked them if they could print something on a breadboard.
“So, Mom and I ended up taking a class through the Milwaukee School of Art and Design, and we learned how to screen print and printed on that bread board for that customer. That was fun. Driving to Milwaukee in the winter was not, but we did it.”
About four years after starting the business, they moved to a larger space in an area industrial park.
“We needed space and a professional setting,” Tammy said. “It wasn’t a matter of if we could afford it — we couldn’t afford not to. Location, location, location. That was important to us if we were going to grow.”
Eventually, they moved from the industrial park to where they are today — a 2,000-square-foot space in the Mountain Bay Plaza. With the move, more services were added and the company maintained a showroom and gift shop filled with Pulaski Red Raider items along with Pulaski and polka souvenirs and apparel.
“From its beginning of only having the graphic design services, we’ve expanded our services to include embroidery and screen printing, website design and promotional products,” Tammy said. “Our customers seem to be the reason we added additional services — because they needed them. There was a need, and we filled it.”
In 2013, Dynamic Designs decided to focus on business clients. “I think we implemented or started thinking about this when the 2008-2009 economy took a turn for the worse,” Tammy said. “That was a scary time. Our employees took wage cuts, and we really took a deep dive into what was actually making us money — and it wasn’t our retail shop and showroom. It was our business clients. So, we phased out the retail store to focus on our business clients and organizations. We were spending so much time trying to keep up with the retail store and stock, and it was hurting us. We still help our organizations, clubs and have several schools and nonprofits that we serve — not just Pulaski apparel or Red Raiders. Taking out the retail store and a few smaller services have helped us focus on the services we do really well.”
One of those services is providing hundreds of different apparel items such as t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts. Promotional products include such things as coasters, pens, tote bags, electronic power banks, chapstick, coffee mugs, pizza cutters, folding chairs, water bottles, grilling sets and more — anything that Dynamic Designs is able to put a logo on.
“We have thousands of products and hundreds of preferred partners we work with,” Tammy said. “Website design is another area where we help businesses. We are a partner of Squarespace. We help businesses and organizations create professional web designs that they can easily maintain and update on their own.”
Gift sets where logos can be added are also popular.
“For example, a gift set may be an onboarding kit for a large corporation,” Tammy said. “This might include a t-shirt, travel mug and notebook. A gift set could be a thank-you gift (a whiskey glass set) to a client that made a large purchase. It could also be a charcuterie board with cheese and sausage. Gift sets are determined by quantity, budget and the target audience. We try to help customers with ideas and inspiration.
“We’ve done some interesting things — creativity happens every day,” she said. “I remember a healthcare provider putting together a kit for clients that referred them to doctors. It had old fashioned glasses, recipes for different old fashioneds, a copper galvanized bucket, playing cards with pictures of all the doctors, in addition to the logo of the healthcare facility. It was really personal, and it was a way to say thank you for referring clients to our doctors.”
When working with a customer, she believes it’s important to take their time and ask questions about the project.
“We’ll research the best products within their budget that their target audience will appreciate,” she said. “We’ll get samples in so they can feel, see and touch. We learn about our customers’ businesses so we can better help them. As an example, in just the past month, we attended several open houses that our customers held. We support our customers, and if we can’t do something or if we aren’t the best fit for them, or can’t get the job done for an event date, we’ll refer them to someone who might be able to help. People appreciate that. We are here to help, not just make the money.”
While many customers contact them through email, phone, their website, or stop at their Mountain Bay location, Tammy and her husband also go out every week to visit customers and make sales.
“After being in the industry for more than 31 years, we have loyal customers,” she said. ‘In fact, our very first customer, Highview Custom Fabricating, is still a customer of ours. That says a lot.”
Her mom still embroiders smaller jobs and her dad, who used to screen print when screen printing was done in-house, still helps maintain the equipment and building and also helps with the financials.
“Our staff of seven is like family,” Tammy said. “I love going to work every day to see my mom and our employees. It’s a special place.”

Bruce and Tammy Brzeczkowski are co-owners of Dynamic Designs in Pulaski, a marketing company that helps businesses build brand awareness with promotional products.
