Connie Lou Zilkoske

Connie Lou Zilkoske, age 70, of Gillett, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. Connie was born on November 21, 1955, to the late Lyle and Elizabeth (Davis) Brazeau in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Gillett High School and lived in Gillett all of her life. On November 27, 1971, Connie was united in marriage to Glen Zilkoske on what should have been a lovely fall day, that became one of the worst snowstorms of that year. Not letting the snow ruin their lovely day, Glen and Connie were married at their home surrounded by their loved ones.
She became a stay-at-home mom until her children were in school then she worked at Cesa 8 for the Gillett School District as a teachers aid and was a Girl Scout Leader. The young couple worked hard to support their family for many years. Together Glen and Connie were members of the Jaycees and Jaycettes and the M&O Bee Club. She enjoyed cross stitching and shopping sprees. Connie was a calm but fair mom, always kept her children out of trouble, and loved them unconditionally. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world, and she loved to spoil them. Connie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend; she will be deeply missed.
Connie is survived by her husband, Glen; daughter, Susan (Bob) Seide; grandchildren, Josh Zilkoske, Ashleigh Zilkoske and Courtney Zilkoske; great-grandchildren, Freya and Levi; brother, Roger (Tina) Brazeau; and sister-in-law, Gloria Bonnin. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Connie is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Zilkoske; and parents, Lyle and Elizabeth Brazeau.
Per Connie’s wishes no services will be held at this time. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
