Helen M. Schowalter

Helen M. Schowalter, age 89, of Gillett, passed away at home on Friday, September 11, 2026. She was born December 23, 1936, to the late John and Maude (Lehr) Boesen. Helen married David Schowalter on April 7, 1956, at St. Peters Church in Jackson, WI. She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her husband, David; three sons, David, Steve, and Jeffrey; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, John (Kay) Boesen; her sister, Betty Klumb. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her seven siblings and her grandson, Alan.
Visitation will be held at Tabor United Methodist Church in Gillett on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Jeremiah Cottrell-Duebner officiating.
