Lyle R. Bloedorn

Lyle R. Bloedorn, age 94, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Lyle was born June 28, 1932, in Marion, the son of the late Walter and Bertha (Marohl) Bloedorn. He attended St. James Lutheran School and later graduated from Shawano High School with the class of 1950. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Army Corp of Engineers from 1953 to 1955. He was united in marriage to the former Marilyn Wilke at Christus Lutheran Church, Hintz on September 26, 1959. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, David and Michael.
Lyle was employed as a draftsman and as a self-employed electrician. In his spare time, Lyle enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, even designing and building his own home. Later in life, he found joy in drawing and painting. He also served as a Cub Scout leader. Lyle was a good and faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church, where he also served on the Board of Trustees. He was a humble and caring man who was devoted to his family.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Bloedorn of Shawano; two sons, David (Dana) Bloedorn of Greenville; Michael Bloedorn of Shawano; and grandchildren Jonathan and Alyssa Bloedorn. Lyle was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Bloedorn.
No formal services will be held.
