Matthew “Bubba” L. Strum

Matthew “Bubba” L. Strum, age 43 of South Branch, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Matthew was born an Army brat on May 2, 1982 to Bruce Biljan and Donna (Sailor) Kotaska in El Paso, Texas.
Matthew was a proud Menominee/Ojibway man. He was a dad, brother, uncle and son. He was a man of tall stature and big heart. His love of his children and his family was unconditional. His signature was his passion for cooking. His profession was a cement truck driver for Bonduel Concrete. He had the knack of quick humor that could make someone laugh until they cried. He was an Army Brat and had the opportunity to see places people only dream to see. His gentle and kind heart will be missed by all who knew him.
Matthew is survived by his mother and step-father, Donna (Retired US Army) and Wes Kotaska; children, Bunnie and Roxi Stanley of Albuquerque, NM; siblings, Emily (Strum) Varela of Anchorage, AK, Michaela (Strum) Soto (Retired USAF) of Fairbanks, AK, Amber Biljan, Christina Biljan, Veronica (Biljan) Garcia, Leticia Cruz-Maldonado and Luis Chavez of Wisconsin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Warrington Sailor; grandfather, Donald Sailor; grandmother, Alvina Long.
Friends and family may gather at the South Branch Community Center (W1281 County Road M, Keshena) starting on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 9 am until the funeral service on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 11 am.
