Ronald “Ron” G. Anderson

Ronald “Ron” G. Anderson, age 86 of the Town of Morris, Shawano County passed away with his loving wife Lois at his side on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at his home.
Ronald Gene Anderson was born on May 24, 1939 in Chicago, IL as the son of the late Lars and Mildred (Smith) Anderson. Ron married Lois Alfano on November 19, 1966 at St. Linus in Oak Lawn, IL. Shortly after they bought an 80 acre farm in the Town of Fairbanks, Shawano County where they lived and farmed for over 24 years. After many years of farming, they sold the farm to Dr. Ralph and Marilyn Talke when Ron decided to change careers and went into hauling gravel and bulldozing. He operated his business out of their home on Hwy. J under the name Ron Anderson Excavating and Road Building. Ron never wanted to retire but due to serious health problems in 2017 he had to stop driving his dump truck and operating his equipment.
All his life Ron had a desire for speed and vintage Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, and motorcycles. He rebuilt many engines and always made them sound better and run at top speed. He also collected Schlitz and automotive memorabilia and had several nice rifles and pistols. He still owned his Daisy BB gun that his parents bought him when he was a young boy. Because of his love of old cars he became a member of the National Antique Oldsmobile Club (Runabouts to Rockets) which allowed he and Lois to enjoy many car shows through the club.
After their son Jeffrey died, Ron and Lois cared for individuals with special needs as part of the Adult Family Home Program through Shawano County and the mentoring of George and Carol Fiedler; Ron’s sister and brother-in-law.
Ron was a member of the Embarrass River Lions Club for many years. He knew Jesus as his personal savior and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Township of Morris.
Survivors include: His Wife: Lois Anderson.
Sisters: Beverly Williams, Linda (Loren) Goodwin, & Carol Fiedler.
Also numerous nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, fellow club members, and special friends Steve Wogsland, Luke Onesti, and Gareth Sturms.
