Kathleen K. “Kathy” Bubolz

Kathleen K. “Kathy” Bubolz, age 67, Town of Wescott, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday morning, August 6, 2026.
Kathy was born February 9, 1959, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Pleshek) Bubolz. She attended Shawano High School, graduating with the Class of 1977.
Kathy was always a hard worker who enjoyed meeting new people wherever she went. She began her career as a waitress at several local establishments before spending many years as a bartender at the Bank Tavern and Hensel’s in Shawano. Most recently, she cleaned several homes and businesses throughout the area until illness led her to retire.
In her spare time Kathy loved playing bingo and bowling. She was a member of a bowling team and participated in tournaments at Lakeshore Lanes in Shawano. Kathy had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She generously volunteered her time with many organizations, including the AmVets and Red Barn. Above all, Kathy treasured her family and friends. She loved nothing more than gathering with those she loved, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories together.
Survivors include her sister, Joy (Kim) Tingley; her nieces and nephews, Chelsey (Matt) Steffens and their two children, Matthew and Dexon; Ashley (Max) Furman and their children; Natasha Bubolz, Brandon Bubolz, and Austin Bubolz; special friend, Diane; her lifetime partner of over 35 years, Glen Heiling; and Glen’s siblings, Dennis, Karen, Sandy, and Jeff. Kathy is further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry and Michael Bubolz.
A gathering of relatives and friends for Kathleen K. Bubolz will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Pastor David Kaiser will offer the closing prayer at 1:00 pm.
