Robert James Herrick

Robert James Herrick, age 88, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Clintonville. Robert was born on April 27, 1938, in Pipestone, Minnesota, to the late James and Marion (Coburn) Herrick. On February 8, 1958, he was united in marriage to Annette Ross in San Diego, California. Robert was the owner and operator of ASI Transportation for many years until retirement. He was a classic car and truck fanatic and loved racing. Robert had a big heart and cared deeply for his family, friends and employees. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend; he will be deeply missed.
Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Annette; children, Mark (Kathy) Herrick and Julie (Chuck Buckbee) Herrick; grandson, Maxwell Herrick; and extended family, Shane and Leslie Buckbee, Braxton Buckbee, Taylor Swenson and Miley Buckbee. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, James (Althea) Herrick and Marion (Lyle) Fields; and siblings, John, Betty, Don, Kenneth, Beverly and Peggy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at The Lumberyard in Bonduel starting at 1 pm until 6pm, family welcomes all to share their memories of Robert. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Pipestone, Minnesota with his brother, Kenneth. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
