Marcia M. Zhuckkahosee

Marcia M. Zhuckkahosee, age 76, of Keshena, started her journey to the Spirit World late Thursday evening, October 15, 2026, peacefully at her home.
Marcia was born July 4, 1950, in Keshena, the daughter of the late James Sr. and Matilda (Waupoose) Zhuckkahosee. She attended Gresham schools and graduated from Gresham High School with the Class of 1968. Marcia worked as an EMT on the Reservation. She also worked as an employee and manager of the Menominee Head Start Program and Daycare. In her later years, she was employed by Menominee Transit.
Marcia enjoyed music and riding in the woods. She looked forward to visiting with family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time at Crow Settlement.
Survivors include her two sons, Darren Zhuckkahosee Sr. and Cornell Zhuckkahosee Sr. both of Keshena; life partner, Loren Washinawatok of Keshena; six grandchildren; siblings, Thomas (Karen) Zhuckkahosee of Milwaukee, Aloysius (Alberta) Zhuckkahosee of Keshena, Lisa Zhuckkahosee of Neopit, Lee (Karen) Zhuckkahosee of Shawano, Leona Poole of Neopit, and Clarice (Doyle) Wilber of Shawano. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Marcia was preceded in death by her siblings, James Zhuckkahosee Jr, Myrna Bergen, Cheryl McCann, Sandra Draghi, Cornell Zhuckkahosee, and Reginald Zhuckkahosee; and infant, Reginald.
In keeping with Marcia’s wishes, private family services will be held. A celebration of life for the public will be announced at a later date.
