Dawn (Marquardt) Dey

Dawn (Marquardt) Dey passed away at her home in Shawano on June 5, 2026. Dawn was born on April 6, 1946 to Clarence and Irene (Raddant) Marquardt who preceded her in death. Dawn was also preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Dey.
Dawn’s survivors include her son Andrew Dey and daughter-in-law Julia, and grandchildren Olivia and Dean. She is also survived by her brother Donald Marquardt and his wife Lorna, her niece Amy Nehring and nephew Daniel Marquardt, and great-niece Morgan Marquardt and great-nephews Jeffery Lenzner and Mason Marquardt.
Dawn and her brother Don had a wonderful childhood in Shawano before she set out to San Francisco at age 23.
In San Francisco she fell in love with and married Kenneth Dey and they settled down in Orange County, California. Dawn had the opportunity to travel the world and she loved tennis.
She returned to Wisconsin to be with her elderly parents and spent many years working at World Wide Sign Company where she made many friends.
Dawn deeply loved her grandchildren and was very close with them despite the distance. She especially enjoyed listening to her granddaughter play guitar.
Dawn will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A private service will be held at a later date.
