Gerald W. Christensen Jr. “Jerry, Tiger”

Gerald W. Christensen Jr. “Jerry, Tiger”, age 65, of Suring, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, following a courageous battle after a liver transplant in 2024. Jerry was born in Oconto Falls on May 7, 1961, to the late Gerald and Georgia (Ozechowski) Christensen. He attended Gillett High School with the Class of 1980. He married Karen Hoffman on July 12, 1980, at Hickory Church. Jerry was employed at Gillett Milling, Holtger Bros., A&C Sawdust and Gillett Cement Products. He enjoyed fishing, racing off road buggys, go-karts and traveling the United States on motorcycle. He loved spending time with his kids, and especially his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Drew; daughter-in-law, Jamie (Rich) Ellman; two brothers, Mark (Sandy) Christensen, Tim (Beth) Christensen; sister-in-law, Brenda (Greg) Lechleitner; two brothers-in-law, Doug (Debbi) Hoffman, Jerry Hoffman; six aunts, Carolyn (Gordon) Kruse, Jackie (Paul) Bort, Diana (Terry) Payette, Sue Christensen, Diane Ozechowski, Lottie Walls; grandchildren, Bryce (Neela Cherry), Gracie, and Kenlee; goddaughter, Cassie; nephews, Logan (Winter), Randy, Cody (Zoey), Trent and Matt. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy; two sisters, Dawn and Tina; mother and father-in-law, Rena and Elger Hoffman; five uncles, Byron Christensen, Ivan (Barb) Christensen, Larry Ozechowski, Jim Walls, Gene Christensen; his aunt, Colleen Christensen.
Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9 am until the funeral service at 12 pm with Pastor Steve Anthes officiating. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com
