Kenneth “Ken” Arvil Casper

Kenneth “Ken” Arvil Casper, age 83, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, in Shawano. Ken was born on September 19, 1942, in Shawano to Arvil and Margaret (Sperberg) Casper, and raised by his grandparents Robert and Amelia Casper.
He worked for LJ Sperberg from 1968 to 2009. Prior to that he worked for Harry Sperberg, Baldig Sawmill, and John Reinke out of high school. He also spent some time with the Bowler Fire Department. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Hermansfort. Ken was united in marriage on June 27, 1964, to Suzanne at St. Paul Church in Bowler. Ken loved playing baseball, basketball, and softball. He made the Bowler BABA Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a huge Brewers and Packers fan. Ken was also a fan of all local high school sports. He and his wife Suzanne were Shawano Hawks Fans of the Year in 2015. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his yard, woodworking, and attending car shows with his ’49 Chevy. Ken was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and watching his grandson’s baseball games.
Ken is survived by his wife, Suzanne; son, Todd (SoHappy) Casper; grandchildren, Kenneth “Bud” (Kaitlyn) Casper, Brittany (Curtis) Kroening, and Treasure (Cody) Bergman; and great-grandchildren, Carson, BriArri, Ayden, Wyatt, Riley, Brantley, and Beau.
Ken is preceded in death by his beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Private services were held.
